Last year at MGMA 2015 in Nashville, Halee Fischer-Wright, the president and CEO of MGMA, challenged the audience: “If we want to create the healthcare system we want to see,” she said,” it’s time we stop whining and start leading.”
Across an auditorium full of seasoned healthcare professionals, some folks chuckled. Others nodded in agreement, and still others stared ahead, unsmiling. With the rapid change in the healthcare system and MACRA around the corner, stepping up to lead the change is both an exciting and a scary prospect.
This month, healthcare professionals from across the country are once again preparing to gather to discuss the most important topics in healthcare—value-based care, patient engagement, and physician satisfaction among them. The conference promises to be a stimulating and thought-provoking event, with dozens of education sessions that will help arm us with new knowledge and tools to lead the change together.
At Able Health, we are excited to welcome the MGMA community to San Francisco, our home base. To help you navigate the busy MGMA schedule, we have compiled a list of can’t-miss sessions that promise to be especially valuable for those interested in quality improvement and value-based care.
