Sales Manager

Able Health’s mission is to support a continuously improving US healthcare system. Our platform helps doctors earn incentives from health plans for delivering high quality care. We’re a well-funded healthcare startup backed by Y Combinator and located in downtown San Francisco (remote positions are also available). With a current focus on MACRA and MIPS, a quality payment program affecting Medicare providers that launched this year, Able Health is addressing a burning need in the provider market.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial Sales Manager passionate about healthcare to be a critical member of our early team and drive Able Health’s revenue growth. As an early sales leader, your responsibilities will range across the spectrum of sales activities, from developing and qualifying inbound leads, outbound prospecting, demoing our products, nurturing leads and closing deals. You will also play a key strategic role in helping to design and improve Able Health’s core sales processes. This position also offers a pathway to sales management as the Able Health team grows.

What you will do

  • Think strategically about capturing inbound leads, qualify and follow up, primarily focusing on leads coming in through our website
  • Outbound prospecting of large independent medical groups and small health systems via cold calling and email campaigns
  • Nurture accounts throughout the sales process, request and create custom materials, and invent creative ways to pique interest among target accounts
  • Lead sales calls and demos, including researching target accounts
  • Run webinars to demonstrate our product and discuss industry topics
  • Proactively develop expertise in relevant policies and market trends
  • Think strategically about new target market segments and geographies for Able Health to pursue

Depending on your interest level and our ongoing needs, you may also:

  • Attend trade shows on behalf of Able Health
  • Work directly with the CEO on business development and partnerships opportunities
  • Engage with healthcare industry associations

Who we are looking for

  • You are enthusiastic about getting in front of new prospects and think creatively about bringing in new business
  • You have at least 3 years of experience with inside sales development in a healthcare context, and you are excited about operating in every part of the sales pipeline
  • You pride yourself on the high quality of your work, and you don’t give up easily
  • You are passionate about healthcare, and excited to become an expert in relevant policies and market trends
  • You aim to help the people around you, whether it is your team mates, a sales lead, or an existing customer
  • You can jump into situations with few guidelines and build from the ground up
